FAQs

Who will my postcards be mailed to?

Postcards 4 Dentists uses a special mailing program from the US Postal Service called Every Door Direct Mail or “EDDM” for short. This program allows us to provide very competitive pricing by taking advantage of discounted postage rates. We target the residential neighborhoods around your practice by saturating carrier routes (the route each postal worker takes each day to pick up and deliver mail). The USPS provides ample demographic data on the carrier-route level which we can use to eliminate very-high or very-low income routes depending on your strategy. For general practice, however, we typically recommend mailing the neighborhoods closest to your practice. You can take a look at USPS carrier routes yourself at eddm.usps.com.

Are you looking for a program that mails new movers, current or past patients, or potential patients based on various demographics or other behaviors? How can I track effectiveness?

There are several ways to track effectiveness of a postcard campaign with Postcards 4 Dentists.

CALL TRACKING – This service provides a unique phone number that is different from your actual office phone number, but forwards calls to your actual office phone number. This call tracking phone number is only to be used on your direct mail advertising. Thus, with this service we can provide reports showing calls received as a result of the campaign. We can also optionally record those calls so that you can listen to each and every patient lead. Call tracking has a small monthly charge to requisition your call tracking phone number, and a small charge per minute for each call that is forwarded. Contact us below for a quote on this service.

UNIQUE OFFER CODES – One of the easiest ways to track postcard effectiveness is to use unique offers with promo codes that are only used on a specific postcard campaign. That way, when you receive new patient calls requesting those promotions or offers, you can be sure that those leads came from your postcard campaign. Standard offer disclaimers also ask that new patients bring their physical coupon into the office for their initial exam.

Is there a contract?

We have a standard service agreement that covers liability, intellectual property, and all the other general things that our attorney wants us to cover with all of our clients.

We do NOT, however, have any term agreements with any of our clients. While most of our dental clients do postcard mailings on a monthly basis, it’s never required. Our clients continue mailing with us because our program works, not because they signed a restrictive contract.
